There are two major ways on how rugs and carpets are made, through weaving or through piling. A woven rug or carpet is made the same way a typical cloth or dress is made. On the other hand, a pile is made by layering different materials together to obtain a final product. Any of the two can be chosen for the rug or carpet that you wish to buy for your home.

Surface grades must be planned so that rain or melting snow will drain away from the foundations of the house. Terracing is generally the best means of achieving a good lawn and a successful garden on a steeply sloping lot.
