For lighting, put one directly above your bed or place lampshades on both sides of the bed and also put one on the center of the room’s ceiling. This would serve as the major source of light inside the room. Finally for beddings and curtains, choose colors that are different from the color of your wall. This would serve as accents for room and would give your room a bit of contrast. Warm and dark colors would give the best effect for a cozy and relax room.

And lastly, scale and proportion is very basic but also very important in interior design. Its main idea is to scale the furniture that you will be putting in your room to its size.
